High Class Lowlife

keeping it classy since 1984

I arrived in Australia safely five days ago, without luggage.  That came approximately 32 hours later, delivered to our door 20 minutes before the latest arrival time Baggage Claim at Melbourne gave us.

Two of my three flights were changed, so I went from Cleveland to Chicago to Los Angeles instead of from Cleveland to Dallas to Los Angeles.  Qantas gave me no food for the first half of my flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne, and they tried to give me sausage for breakfast when they did eventually realize that I might possibly be hungry.

I’m still suffering from jet lag, and probably will be for the next several days, but I’ve done a lot in the few days I’ve been here:

  • Saw the Living End Friday night, and they were fantastic
  • Saw Star Trek Saturday afternoon, and I liked it better than I thought I would
  • Went to see Wicked Saturday night, and I found it quite enjoyable (and drank an adorable alcoholic green slushy called an Ozmopolitan in a light-up souvenir martini glass)
  • Watched approximately half of Eurovision last night

I just wish I had an actual working camera.
